USAC REGIONAL SERIES PREVIEW: JUNE 26-27, 2020

 

WHOLESALE BATTERIES USAC MIDWEST WINGLESS RACING ASSOCIATION SPRINT CARS

A doubleheader weekend greets the USAC MWRA Sprint Cars Friday, June 26, at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kans. and Saturday, June 27, at Missouri’s Bethany Speedway.

Both tracks are first-time venues for the new series, which has two races contested thus far with series point leader Kory Schudy (Springfield, Mo.) at I-35 Speedway in Winston, Mo. and Wyatt Burks (Topeka, Kans.) at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kans. taking respective victories.

Friday at Lakeside, pits open at 5pm Central, with spectator gates opening at 6pm, the drivers meeting at 7pm with hot laps at 7:15pm and racing to follow.  B-Mods, Stock Cars, Pure Stocks, E-Mods are also scheduled for the event.

General admission adult tickets are $12, Military/Seniors (62+) are $10, Juniors (12-15) $6 and children age 11 and under are free.  Pit passes are $35 for adults and children age 7 or older.  Kids 6 and under are $15 in the pits.

Saturday at Bethany, pits open at 4:30pm CT, grandstands at 5:30pm, with hot laps at 6:45pm and racing to follow.  The IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sprint Cars, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, E-Modifieds and Pure Stocks are also in action. 

Adult general admission tickets are $20, seniors/military (with ID) is $18 and kids 12 and under are free.  Pit passes are $35.

USAC DMA SPEED2 MIDGETS

The USAC DMA SpeeD2 Midget season finally ready to get underway this Saturday night, June 27, at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vermont. 

Will Hull led all drivers in the series with four wins at Bear Ridge in 2019, while Seth Carlson earned three, Joe Krawiec two, with Adam Whitney and Mike Chaffee each scoring one.

General admission tickets will not be sold due to local regulations.  All people entering the property will be required to be temperature checked before they can be signed in.  Pit entry fee is $30 for 2020 registered members and $35 for non-members.  No one under the age of 10 will be allowed on the property.  Please bring proof of age as the track may require you to provide it.

Racing begins at 6pm Eastern.  Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes and the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders are also on the event card along with Mike Estrada State Farm 4/6 Cylinder Enduro Series.

 

USAC IMRA SPEED2 MIDGETS

USAC’s IMRA SpeeD2 Midget division returns to its home base of Spoon River Speedway in Canton, Ill. this Saturday night, June 27, for round three of the 2020 points season.

Cody Gerdes (Eureka, Ill.) captured last Saturday’s victory at Spoon River in his first start of the season ahead of Kevin Battefeld (Lewistown, Ill.), Bryan Stanfill (Brea, Calif.), Jake Sollenberger (Canton, Ill.) and Mark McMahill (Peoria, Ill.).

Saturday at Spoon River, pits open at 3pm Central, with the drivers meeting at 5:45pm and hot laps at 6pm with racing to follow.
