IMRA DOUBLES UP AT THE SPOON THIS SATURDAY

Canton, Illinois (September 25, 2019)………USAC Engler IMRA Speed2 Midgets take the show to Spoon River Speedway for a double-feature night in Canton, Ill. this Saturday, September 28. 

The 12th and 13th trips of the season to Spoon River for the series begin with the continuation the 3rd annual 24-lap Aaron Hull Memorial on Saturday before moving into a new full program for the series as part of the Rail Splitter Nationals that same night.

Five of point leader Andy Baugh’s seven season wins have come at Spoon River.  Baugh (Mason City, Ill.) is two-for-two in the month of September after winning the two most recent series events at Spoon River and, most recently, in Donnellson, Iowa.

Baugh leads the standings in his quest of a second consecutive IMRA title, entering Saturday’s races with a commanding 121-point lead over Tyler Roth (Springfield, Ill.) with just four races remaining in the 2019 season.

On Saturday at Spoon River, pits open at 4pm Central, grandstands at 5pm, hot laps at 6pm and racing at 7pm.  Also on hand are the Perkins Seed House DIRTcar Modifieds, DIRTcar Pro Late Models, Farmington Locker E-Mods and Bartonville Express Lube DIRTcar Hornets.  Adult general admission is $10 and kids 10 and under are free.  Adult pit passes are $30 apiece while pit passes for kids 10 and under are $20.
