Morley took the lead from Adam Taylor on the eighth lap of the race that was part of the “Adam Lopez Illinois Midget Nationals” event. Jeremy Hull took second at the checkered flag, followed by Brent Burrows, Chase McDermand and Shane Morgan.

Driver Paul Graybrook of Indianapolis, Ind. passed away Tuesday morning, July 4, 2017 after injuries sustained in Monday night’s USAC Speed2 IMRA/Midwest Thunder Midget event at Springfield. Graybrook flipped over the front straightaway wall on the second lap of the feature. USAC extends its sincere condolences to Graybrook’s family and friends.

Speedway, co-sanctioned with NEMA Lites. He passed Jim Chambers on the final lap for the win over Chambers, Chad LaBastie, Ryan Locke and Ryan Bigelow. The Eastern series resumes July 14 at Wake County Speedway in Raleigh, N.C.
