MIILLE TAKES PRECARIOUS POINT LEAD TO IRWINDALE SATURDAY; BOWMAN, HAACK, RIETHMEYER, EDWARDS ALL POST FOCUS WINS

Ian Miille of Pleasanton, Calif. holds a slim 23-point lead over Alex Bowman in the latest California Pavement Ford Focus standings going into this Saturday's race at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, Calif. Brendan Langlois is only 36 behind Miille with 74 available at Irwindale.

Kyle Hamilton, Bradley Riethmeyer, Miille and Charlie Butcher lead respective USAC Ford Focus standings after races last Saturday.

Hamilton finished second to Craig Haack in Saturday night's 40-lap Midwest/Indiana feature at the Anderson (Ind.) Speedway and leads the Midwest and Indiana points into the series finale October 4-5 at Anderson. Haack, of Lewisburg, Tenn., led all 40 laps to beat Hamilton, fast qualifier Andy Nock, Julia Landauer and Jordan Pennington.

Riethmeyer, of Hutto, Texas, passed Rick Fedrizzi on lap 10 and led the last 26 laps of Saturday's 35-lap Carolina feature at Coastal Plains Raceway in Jacksonville, N.C. Scott Hunter finished second ahead of Shane MacMillan, Brad Noffsinger and Fedrizzi. The win left Riethmeyer with a 115-point lead over Michael Mohelski in the standings entering the series finale October 5 at Concord, N.C.

Miille was second to Bowman in Saturday's 30-lap California Pavement race at Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. fast qualifier Michael J. Lewis, Brennan Newberry and Brendan Langlois trailed at the checkered flag. Bowman, of Tucson, Ariz., passed Miille on the final lap to record the win! Lady driver Jessica Brunelli led the first 11 laps of the race.

Butcher, of Santa Barbara, Calif., was second to Tyler Edwards of Salina, OK in Saturday night's 20-lap Junior Ford Focus race at Ventura (Calif.) Raceway. Dennis Simunovich, Andrew Mulhearn and Brody Roa rounded out the ΜΆ
