USAC AMSOIL SPRINT CAR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT

Formats may be altered from base formats listed here at the discretion of the chief steward.

QUALIFYING:

Drivers will qualify in group sessions. Groups will be divided into heat races based on the pill draw. Each session will be 4 laps in length. Your best lap of the session will be your qualifying time.

HEAT RACES:

10-lap race. Top-4 qualifiers will be inverted in the line-up with the remainder of the field starting straight up.  Inversion and the number of transferring cars in each heat will be dependent upon car count & number of heat races held. A drawing will be held after the heats to determine the feature inversion.

C-MAIN:

10-lap race.  A C-Main may be utilized if needed. Transfers from the C to the B and the B to the A is by order of finish on the track.

SEMI-FEATURE:

12 laps. Semi will add the final transfers to the feature. Cars will start straight up beginning with heat non-transfers followed by C-Main (if needed) transfers.

FEATURE:

40-lap race. 22 cars (not including earned provisionals - up to 2 each from both USAC & MSCS). Cars that advanced through the semi will start straight up in the feature behind the cars that advanced through the heats.
