Sun Prairie, Wisconsin (August 26, 2024)………4Kings Racing has announced the addition of Jakeb Boxell to their driver lineup for this weekend’s USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship events at Sun Prairie, Wisconsin’s Angell Park Speedway.
Boxell (Zanesville Ind.) will make his series debut with 4Kings at the famed 1/3-mile dirt oval this Sunday-Monday, September 1-2, during the 39th running of the Firemen’s Nationals aboard the Bordner Welding, AccroSeal, Metalloid1 and Accrolube sponsored No. 44 Stanton-powered Spike chassis.
The 18 year old Boxell has been on the rise this year. He currently sits a close second in the USAC Midwest Thunder SpeeD2 Midget standings, just nine points out of the lead. Overall, he’s earned seven top-five finishes in 10 points-paying events, and bagged his first career series victory in June during the Mike Streicher Memorial at Ohio’s Limaland Motorsports Park.
Throughout his young career, Boxell has earned more than 50 karting victories with multiple championships, including a restricted micro title. In 2023, Boxell was honored as the recipient of the Dayton Area Racing Fans up-and-coming driver award.
“Jakeb is the type of kid that has done it the right way,” 4Kings team owner Rex Turned praised. “Nothing was given to him; he had to earn everything along the way. Jakeb has been a member of the 4Kings Team since its inception and has worked hard. We are happy to give him his opportunity. We know he will make the best of it.”
