COMPLETE SWEEP FOR WESTOVER AT MERIDIAN
Meridian, Idaho (June 16, 2023)………Devin Westover scored his second consecutive USAC Rocky Mountain Radical Focus Midget feature victory on Friday night at Idaho’s Meridian Speedway.
The Saratoga Springs, Utah native performed the feat in spectacular fashion by recording the fastest qualifying time, winning his heat and scoring the feature win - a complete sweep of the evening's racing program.
Westover achieved the latter by tracking down Nick Escobedo on lap 10, and from there, led the remaining 16 laps to earn his third series win of the season.
Following Westover to the line in the 25-lap main event were A.J. Luttmer (West Jordan, Utah), Anthony Quintana (Riverton, Utah) and Nick Escobedo (Kuna, Idaho) with Cheyenne Merrill (Salt Lake City, Utah) rounding out the top-five.
The triumphant performance pushed Westover’s series point lead to 23 over Luttmer in the tight championship race.
