BIERMAN A WHEELMAN, HE WINS HIS FIRST AT ALL AMERICAN

Jacksonville, North Carolina (June 24, 2023)………J.T. Bierman currently sits at the top of the USAC Eastern Focus Midget standings as he pursues a first series championship. That’s in the long term, though.

For now, he can call himself a USAC feature winner after scoring his first career series victory on Saturday at Jacksonville, North Carolina’s New River All American Speedway.

Bierman (Bath, Pa.) set the tone as the night’s quickest qualifier, then tracked down early leader Brady Allum for the lead on the fifth lap of the 30-lap feature.

The 14-year-old Bierman was unflappable down the stretch, winning by a commanding 5.409 second margin over reigning series champion Hunter Wise (Allentown, Pa.) in second with Logan Sulyi (Raliegh, N.C.) third and Keegan Walmer (Concord, N.C.) fourth.

Allum rounded out the top-five, but on lap 14, he found major trouble when he got upside down while racing in the third position.

The race lead exchanged hands between three different drivers during the first five laps. Walmer led the opening laps before Allum controlled laps two, three and four. After that, it was all Bierman who extended his point lead to 11 markers.
