KAEDING TAKES “POMBO/SARGENT CLASSIC” AT TULARE

The 2010 USAC West Coast 360 Sprint Car Series resumes action May 29 at the Bakersfield (Calif.) Speedway and Craig Stidham continues to hold the point lead despite disqualification of his car after finishing fourth in Saturday night’s 30-lap race at Tulare, Calif.

Bud Kaeding of Campbell, Calif. won Saturday night’s 30-lap “Pombo/Sargent Classic” at the Gropetti Automotive Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway, leading the final 24 laps to beat Peter Murphy, Jace VanderWeerd, Richard VanderWeerd and Danny Faria Jr.

Kaeding won his heat race, then passed Chris Ennis on the seventh lap of the feature and led the rest of the way. Danny Sheridan led the first three laps and Ennis the next three before Kaeding grabbed the top spot.
