SATURDAY’S “FLAG DAY” AT PERRIS NEXT TARGET FOR GARDNER

Damion Gardner of Concord, Calif. will seek his 30th career victory in USAC/CRA Sprint racing at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway as the series returns there this Saturday night.

Gardner has won three of the four races so far this year at the half-mile dirt oval, finishing second to Richard Vander Weerd on May 3.

The wins leave Gardner with an 88-point lead over Nic Faas in the latest AMSOIL USAC/CRA standings. Five-time series king Mike Spencer is third in points, trailed by Brody Roa and Matt Mitchell.
