WINTER CHALLENGE OPENER RAINED OUT
Peoria, AZ........Rains which interrupted hot laps eventually forced cancellation of Friday night's "Winter Challenge" opener at Canyon Speedway Park. The "special event" series featuring USAC West Coast and Southwest Sprint Cars is scheduled to continue Saturday and Sunday, followed by Jan. 30, Feb. 1 and 2 races.
