JACK STECK, 74
 
Long-time USAC car builder and chief mechanic Jack Steck of Covington, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, October 17 at age 74.
 
Born May 20, 1938, Steck was avidly involved in USAC events and serviced cars for drivers like USAC National Sprint Car Champion Larry Dickson, plus Lee Kunzman, Billy Vukovich, Sheldon Kinser and Al Smith.
 
His son-in-law is 1979 USAC National Sprint Car Champion Greg Leffler.
 
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 20,2012 at the Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton, burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Hale-Sarver.
