SPENCER EARNS 3RD STRAIGHT USAC/CRA TITLE

KRUSEMAN TAKES “GLENN HOWARD MEMORIAL” FINALE

 


Mike Spencer of Temecula, Calif. locked up his third consecutive AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car title Saturday night and will be among champions honored this Friday night at the “Night of Champions” USAC National Awards Dinner in downtown Indianapolis, Ind.


 


Spencer finished 21st in Saturday’s race at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway but ended up with a massive 335-point margin over runner-up Danny Sheridan in the final standings.


 


Cory Kruseman of Ventura, Calif. led all 30 laps to win Saturday’s “Glenn Howard Memorial” at Perris. Kruseman and his Lucas Oil/Agromin Eagle/RC Performance machine were trailed by Tracy Hines, Bobby East, Matt Mitchell and Casey Shuman at the checkered flag. Damion Gardner was the fastest qualifier.
