HINES GRABS GAS CITY 30-LAPPER

Gas City, Ind………Tracy Hines of New Castle, Ind. led the final 23 laps to win Friday night’s 30-lap USAC AMSOIL National Sprint car feature at the Gas City I-69 Speedway. Driving the MP Environmental Services Maxim/Shaver, Hines caught early leader Jerry Coons Jr. on lap eight and led the rest of the way to beat Jon Stanbrough, fast qualifier Damion Gardner, Levi Jones and Scotty Weir. Gardner emerged with a 63-point lead over Coons in the new series standings going into Saturday’s race at Lawrenceburg Speedway.
