The “Burger Bash” returns on a new night and a different location this May.

The Prime 47 Indy Burger Bash is an Indianapolis 500 fan event to kick off race week within a few hundred yards of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The program will be held on Monday, May 23, from 6-8:30pm Eastern at USAC headquarters on the corner of 16th and Main St. in Speedway, Ind.

The Prime 47 Indy Burger Bash will be hosted by Curt Cavin and Kevin Lee and feature a live broadcast of their radio show and podcast, “Trackside,” from 7-8 pm on 93.5/107.5 The Fan.  The evening will feature appearances by Indy 500 drivers, likely a few legends, and also a few USAC drivers.

The program and radio show will take place in the north side parking lot of USAC and is free to attend.  The event will include a silent/live auction and raffle prizes to benefit the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center and raise money and awareness for cancer research.

Food and beverage will be for sale from Prime 47 Steakhouse (burgers), the Indy Brew Bus and Kona Ice, with a portion of sales going to the Cancer Center.

A VIP location in the bar inside the refurbished USAC building is also available for a $100 donation per person and will include a free buffet from Prime 47 along with drinks.

Basic Needs, Simple Solutions will also benefit, and help coordinate, tickets, logistics and donations to the Cancer Center.

Visit https://iucancer.home.qtego.net/ for info and early bidding on some of the auction items.  The auction features racing related experiences including a 2-day formula car driving experience and racing school with the Lucas Oil School of Racing and includes simulator coaching from Road to Indy driver and former Team USA Scholarship winner Jackson Lee, an Indy Racing Experience 2-seater ride at IMS including a tour with Kevin Lee, a bottle of Van Winkle Special Reserve 12 year Lot “B” Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey and assorted memorabilia and prints from the Hall of Fame Collection and other track experiences.  A raffle for smaller prizes will also be included.

The event is rain or shine. Don’t forget to bring your lawn chair.
