GLENN HOWARD MEMORIAL CRA FINALE

NOV. 29 AT PERRIS; GARDNER GETS #34 IN "JACK KINDOLL CLASSIC
Mike Spencer of Temecula, Calif. put a virtual lock on the 2008 Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint car title as a result of his 14th-place finish in Saturday night's 12th "Jack Kindoll Classic" at the Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway.

Spencer's finish left him with a 94-point lead over runner-up Blake Miller entering the final series race, the "Glenn Howard Memorial" at Perris November 29.

Miller finished 17th in Saturday night's Perris race, won by Damion Gardner of Concord, Calif. The win was Gardner's 34th in Lucas Oil USAC/CRA competition as he fought off repeated challenges from Cole Whitt. Gardner led all but six laps to win the race in his Leffler Racing Team ASE Beast/Stanton Mopar. David Cardey finished second ahead of Whitt, Danny Sheridan and Greg Bragg.

Chad Boat was the fastest of 31 qualifiers for the penultimate event in the series.
