FOCUSES COMPETE AT GAS CITY FRIDAY, TOLEDO & STOCKTON SATURDAY

DANIELS TAKES SATURDAY & MONDAY SLC FOCUS RACES

 


Joe Liguori and Jake Blackhurst, who have accounted for all three victories at Gas City (Ind.) I-69 Speedway this year, continue their battle for the USAC Midwest and Midwest Dirt Ford Focus titles Friday night at the quarter-mile dirt oval.


 


Saturday night the Midwest series makes its initial appearance at Toledo (Ohio) Speedway in conjunction with the ARCA Stock Car Series and the Western Pavement series competes at the Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway in a program featuring two main events!


 


Michael Daniels of Magna, Utah continues atop the 2010 USAC Utah Ford Focus standings after winning Saturday night’s 25-lap race at Rocky Mountain Raceways in the Utah capital, then coming back to take Monday’s 25-lapper as well.


 


Daniels trailed Austin Luttmer for the first five laps Saturday, then led the final 20 for the win over Luttmer, fast qualifier Chuck Groat, Gregg Fuette and Bob Brewer. On Monday Daniels earned his third win of the year as he led the final 14 laps to beat Ron Duncombe, Groat, Luttmer and Fuette. Connor Kassik led the first 11 laps of Monday’s race.
