“California Focus Week” concludes this week with races at Ventura Raceway Wednesday and Kings Speedway in Hanford Saturday.

Sean Dodenhoff of Bakersfield, Calif. led the final 14 laps of Saturday night’s 20-lap USAC California Dirt Ford Focus feature at Perris Auto Speedway. It was Dodenhoff’s third win in the last four series races. Series point leader Brody Roa led the first six laps and finished second ahead of Cody Swanson, Wally Pankratz and Nick Carlson.

Casey Martinez of Riverside, Calif. earned his first USAC feature victory Saturday night at Perris Auto Speedway, leading the final nine laps of the 20-lap USAC Junior Ford Focus feature. Andrew Murray finished second ahead of Taylor Ferns, series point leader Kyle Edward sand Dennis Simunovich. Matthew Wright led the first 11 laps but finished eighth.

Rick Fedrizzi of Harrisburg, N.C. won Wednesday night’s 40-lap USAC Carolina Ford Focus feature at Concord Motorsports Park. Fedrizzi trailed Scott Hunter until lap 13, then paced the final 28 laps to beat series point leader Jeremy Frankoski, fast qualifier Shane MacMillan, Scott Hunter and Bryce Burden. The series continues August 12 at Concord.

USAC Ford Focus events were cancelled last week at Plymouth, Ind. due to race format changes and Morris, Ill. due to rain. The next race at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Ill. is August 15.
