COOMES WINS HICKORY FOCUS 35-LAPPER

Hickory, NC…….Eric Coomes of Concord, N.C. won Saturday night’s 35-lap USAC Carolina Ford Focus feature at Hickory Motor Speedway, leading the final 23 laps after passing Steven Intravaia on lap 13. Intravaia officially finished second ahead of Shane MacMillan, Chris Lamb and Justin Hommel. Series point leader Jeremy Frankoski posted the fastest qualifying time but his car failed the post-race technical inspection.
