HYSLOP GETS VICTORY #1, FEDRIZZI ALSO VICTORIOUS

VIRGINIA, ILLINOIS, UTAH ALL SEE FOCUS ACTION
USAC's UMARA, Utah and Junior Ford Focus Series all spring into action this week, with races in Illinois, Utah and California.
Branden Allen leads the USAC/UMARA Focuses to Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Ill. Saturday. Kipp Posey paces the Utah Series standings headed into Saturday's race at Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City and Charlie Butcher tops the Junior Focus points going into Saturday's race at Ventura (Calif.) Raceway.
Sara Hyslop of Morris, Ill. scored a popular hometown win at Grundy County Speedway Saturday night, leading all 15 laps to beat Nick Grommes, Allen, Tyler Trainor and Bob Adams. Hyslop becomes the 19th different female feature winner in USAC history.
Rick Fedrizzi didn't venture too far from his Harrisburg, N.C. home to win Saturday night's 40-lap USAC Carolina Ford Focus feature at Concord (N.C.) Motorsports Park. His win in the race presented by the Richard Petty Driving Experience kept him fifth in the latest standings as he led the final 36 laps after passing Michael Ward on lap five. Michael Mohelski finished second ahead of Riethmeyer, Ward and Jake Dallenbach.
