26 RACES FOR USAC MIDWEST THUNDER SPEED2 MIDGETS IN 2022

Speedway, Indiana (March 8, 2022)………Twenty-six events at ten different venues in Ohio and Indiana make up the entirety of the 2022 USAC Midwest Thunder SpeeD2 Midget season schedule.
Two events take place at Ohio’s Waynesfield Raceway Park, including the season opener on April 2, and then a return trip on Memorial Day Weekend, May 29.
Five races are slated for the recently reopened Montpelier (Ind.) Motor Speedway, spread across five different months. The first of which arrives on April 23, followed by visits on June 25, July 30, August 27 and September 24.
Ohio staples Atomic Speedway, Fremont Speedway and Limaland Motorsports Park are all on the docket in the coming year. Atomic, located in Chillicothe, Ohio, hosts on April 30 and July 9. Fremont welcomes the series on May 7 and July 23. Limaland is where the show goes on May 13.
Three dates are on tap for Indianapolis, Indiana’s Circle City Raceway, which begins its second year of competition this season. The dates for the trio are May 15, August 7 and September 16.
No track is scheduled to host more Midwest Thunder Series events this year than Gas City (Ind.) I-69 Speedway with six slots on the calendar from the springtime to the autumn. The quests at Gas City begin on May 20, and again on June 24, July 15, July 29, September 2 and October 21.
Williamsburg Ohio’s Moler Raceway Park occupies a pair of dates on June 3 and July 1 while Brushcreek Motorsports Complex in Peebles, Ohio makes its debut on the series schedule on June 4. Logansport, Indiana’s at U.S. 24 Speedway brings the series to town for a midsummer showdown on July 16. A yet-to-be-announced location is posted on the schedule for July 3.
Jacob Denney (Galloway, Ohio) enters the season as the two-time and defending USAC Midwest Thunder SpeeD2 Midget champ, having collected the past two titles in 2020 and 2021.
