CLAUSON 5TH IN INDY'S "FREEDOM 100"
Indianapolis, IN........USAC National Drivers Champion Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, Ind. finished fifth in Friday's "Freedom 100" Firestone Indy Lights race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The race was his first in the series and he started from the pole after weather forced cancellation of qualifying. Friday's 40-lap race was won by Clauson's teammate Josef Newgarden of Nashville, Tenn.
