INDIANA DRIVERS TAKE 6 “LITTLE HOOSIER 100” TITLES

USAC .25 Midget pilots from Indiana grabbed six feature trophies at Saturday’s inaugural “Little Hoosier 100” at Newton Park in Lakeville, Ind.

Garrett Weil of Plymouth (Junior Rookie), Dustin Anderson of Fort Wayne (Senior Rookie), Gage Walker of Fairland (Senior Honda), Josh Daugherty of Pendleton (Heavy Honda), Sydney Arnett of Warsaw (Heavy 160) and Callie Wolsiffer of New Palestine (Light AA) earned distinctive awards for their class championships.

Walker, who scored a thrilling win in a hotly-contested 100-lap race, also received a Leatt Brace head and neck restraint as part of his feature winner’s package.

Ohio drivers Tyler Garner of Westerville (Junior Honda), Daniel Hall of Columbus (Half), Cooper Clouse of Ohio City (Light 160) and Ryan Fleming of Xenia (Heavy AA) also posted wins in what turned out to be a hugely successful debut for the USAC .25s at the Lakeville oval.

One race, the 100-lap World Formula feature, was rained out and will be conducted this Sunday at Kokomo Speedway to conclude the “Little Hoosier 100” activities.

Hoosier Tire founders Bob and Joyce Newton were on hand Saturday and issued the “Gentlemen Start Your Engines” commands.

USAC’s 2009 “Hoosier Hundred” champion Shane Hollingsworth was also on hand to sign autographs for the many attendees.
