Based in Winchester, IN, The Pallet Builder specializes in the production of pallets for businesses. They offer lumber cutting and pallet manufacturing solutions that can be customized according to one’s needs.

The company is owned by the Goodnight family, longtime members of the racing community around Central Indiana and in USAC. The opportunity to showcase The Pallet Builder to a national audience has the family looking forward to the Rich Vogler Classic.

“Our family business started in Winchester in 1986 and I graduated from Winchester High School, my sister graduated from Winchester High School,” said The Pallet Builder’s Matt Goodnight. “It’s most definitely my home track and our home base for our business. We’re really excited.”

Not only will they be sponsoring the event, Goodnight will also be taking part in the race as a driver. While he has competed at Winchester in a Super Late Model and a Winged Sprint Car, he will realize a dream come true on Sunday, May 9.

“It’s awesome because growing up in Winchester, I’ve always wanted to race in an USAC event at Winchester. That was the coolest thing that came to town when I was a young kid. USAC hasn’t been there in a long time and I haven’t gotten the opportunity to run a race there under the USAC banner. I’m excited to get to compete at my home track.”

“It’s a really good fit with the Goodnight’s racing in the Silver Crown Series and having a business close enough that can help the event out. We’re really happy they are helping our whole event team,” said Elite Racing Promotion’s Brady Bacon. “That was one of our goals. I live in Winchester and we wanted to get the community and local and regional businesses back involved.”

The 2021 version of the Rich Vogler Classic will celebrate open wheel racing’s rich history at the “World’s Fastest Half Mile” while paying homage to the legendary life and career of one of motorsport’s greatest talents, the late Rich Vogler. The afternoon 100-lap main event will showcase the beauty and blazing speed of the renowned Silver Crown machines while testing the bravery and skill of some of the world’s best drivers upon the fabled high banks of Winchester.

The event marks USAC’s first trip to Winchester since 2011, when the Sprint Cars came to town for the Rich Vogler Classic. It will also serve as the season opener for the USAC Silver Crown Champ Car Series.

Joining the USAC Silver Crown that afternoon will be the Midwest Old Timers Vintage Racing Club, featuring upwards of 40 vintage open-wheel cars. Fans will be able to witness the progression of the open-wheel machines through the decades.
