SPEED SHIFT TV BRINGS LIVE COVERAGE OF USAC TRIPLEHEADER WEEKEND

SPEED SHIFT TV BRINGS LIVE COVERAGE OF USAC TRIPLEHEADER WEEKEND

Speedway, Indiana (Sept. 26, 2018)………Speed Shift TV will provide live coverage via pay-per-view of all three of this weekend’s USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship races in the Hoosier State from Kokomo, Gas City and Lawrenceburg.

The renewal of the “Sprint Car Smackdown VII” finale resumes Thursday, September 27, at Kokomo Speedway.  The series then moves onto Gas City I-69 Speedway Friday, September 28, for the “James Dean Classic.”  The busy weekend stretch concludes Saturday, September 29, with the “Fall Nationals” from Lawrenceburg Speedway.

The field for the weekend includes all the top stars of USAC Sprint Car racing, featuring a close battle for the championship between Cullman, Alabama’s Kevin Thomas, Jr., Indianapolis, Indiana’s Tyler Courtney and Canton, Illinois driver Chris Windom, who are all separated by 63 points.

Additional top guns include Brady Bacon (Broken Arrow, Okla.), Dave Darland (Lincoln, Ind.), Chase Stockon (Fort Branch, Ind.), C.J. Leary (Greenfield, Ind.), Robert Ballou (Rocklin, Calif.), Justin Grant (Ione, Calif.), Isaac Chapple (Willow Branch, Ind.), plus Tyler Thomas (Collinsville, Okla.) and Jason McDougal (Broken Arrow, Okla.), who both recently broke into the win column for the first time in their USAC careers.

Thursday at Kokomo, cars hit the track at 6pm with racing to immediately follow.  A program for the BOSS Sprint Series will be held in addition to USAC’s “Smackdown” program a Kokomo.  Friday at Gas City, cars get on track for hot laps at 6:25pm.  Saturday at Lawrenceburg, hot laps are set for 6pm.
