2010 MOPAR .25 CHAMPIONS CROWNED

4 DRIVERS EARN 2 CLASS TITLES

 


Fourteen drivers will be honored as champions of USAC’s 2010 Mopar .25 Midget “Generation Next Tour” following season finales held last weekend at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.


 


Four drivers claimed two separate titles while seven different states were represented in the championship tally.


 


Chandler Smith of Fitzgerald, Ga., Tyler Shullick of Concord, N.C., Michael Fanelli of Rio Rancho, N.M. and Ross Rankine of Willard, Ohio are the multiple-class titlists. Smith won the Junior Honda and Junior Stock honors, while Shullick excelled in the Light World Formula and Light AA classes. Fanelli’s titles were in the Heavy World Formula and Heavy 160 classes and Rankine took the Light 160 and Senior Animal titles.


 


Mark Miller of Mooresville, N.C. capture the Senior Honda class honors, while Caleb Cagle of Galena, Ohio emerged the champion in the Heavy Honda class. The Mod class champ was Nathan McCauley of Millersport, Ohio, Bryant Dawson of Phoenix, AZ topped the B class, Cooper Clouse was to top driver in the Heavy AA class and Tyler Clem of St. Petersburg, FL won top honors in Junior Animal. Neal Allison of Greensboro, NC (Junior) and Sophia Fedele of Westfield, IN (Senior) claimed championships in the Rookie classes.


 


The diverse 2010 “Generation Next Tour” schedule found drivers competing on a wide variety of ovals, both dirt and paved, and across six different states, including Indiana, Ohio, California, Florida, North Carolina and Georgia.


 


The champions will be honored at the USAC Awards Banquet on December 3 in downtown Indianapolis, Ind.
