AS IT STANDS: INDIANA SPRINT WEEK POINTS HEADING INTO TERRE HAUTE

AS IT STANDS: INDIANA SPRINT WEEK POINTS HEADING INTO TERRE HAUTE

Terre Haute, Indiana (July 28, 2021)………Extreme consistency throughout the first three nights has put Brady Bacon atop the USAC NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week by AMSOIL point standings entering the Wednesday night, July 28, event at the Terre Haute Action Track.

Bacon, the 2016 Indiana Sprint Week champion from Broken Arrow, Okla., holds a 16-point ISW lead after three successive top-five finishes: 2nd at Kokomo, 4th at Lawrenceburg and 2nd at Gas City.

Logan Seavey (Sutter, Calif.) has won each of the last two feature events at Lawrenceburg and Gas City following a 10th place result in the opener at Kokomo.  That puts him second in the standings going into Terre Haute, 16 points out of the lead.

Tanner Thorson (Minden, Nev.) possesses the third spot in the standings, 27 points back from the lead.  Kevin Thomas Jr. (Cullman, Ala.) is fourth and 32 points behind, while Jake Swanson (Anaheim, Calif.) sits in the fifth position in the standings, 36 behind the leader.

Terre Haute’s NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week by AMSOIL event features the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship vying for the $6,000 winner’s share.  Modifieds are also on the event card.

Wednesday’s Don Smith Classic / NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week features the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship and Modifieds.  Pits open at 3pm EDT, grandstands at 4pm, drivers meeting at 6pm and hot laps at 6:30pm with qualifying & racing to follow.

General admission grandstand tickets are $30. Infield admission is $15. Kids 11 and under are free when accompanied by a parent. Pit passes are $30 for members and $35 for non-members.
