I’m barely more than a rookie and afraid of the politics but, we would like to have more dirt races.  I’m hopeful some of us can join together and work out a series or at least few more dirt events.  My son talks about Eldora almost every day.  The 2.5 hour drive to Sandusky is the best I can do.  When he’s not racing we’re at K-C, Attica, or Fremont.  I’m still mad I had to work the weekend of Hagerstown.

I totally agree. It seems that pavement has a very strong hold on quarter midget racing. We had a dirt race here in Kansas City a few years back in conjuction with midget and lightning sprints. It wasn't tied to USAC or QMA.

Right now I know that there is an indoor dirt track in Versalles Oh. just about complete. They are in the makings of a kart and Quarter midget indoor series this winter.

There is also a great track located in Bellevue Ohio that has run QMs before and it would be a great addition to any series.

Bellevue and Versailles will work for us.  We're trying to work something out with the Pickaway County fair board also.  Maybe 2012 will be a year for dirt in Ohio.
