My son has loved the Animal class from his first time in the class, one year ago!!!
If you are in the market for a motor or just a refresh,Steve Baker is the man!!!!!
Steve is always there to help,I once droped a valve in my Honda while changing valve springs @ the track,he fixed it while I was getting my other car ready! This past weekend Griffin grabed Steve to help him put the Animal in his new car, while I was buisy rebuilding shocks, they had it all done when I got there!
At Griffin Brown Racing there is no one else!!

Steve, how do you know that they'll meet QMA specs when the specs aren't even out yet? Do you know something we don't? If so, please share!  Wink

Do you guys plan on working with the M animal? If so, when can they be available? Will the Honda gear box bolt right on either Animal?

Crabbypants,

We are only building the M series animals now and yes they are in stock. The honda gear box is not legal for use on the animal. You can only use the Briggs gear box.

Thanks Steve. Your site does not reflect the M series visually. I understand that the box is not legal, but just out of curiosity, will it bolt on?

Crabbypants

Yes, the Honda box will actually bolt onto the Animal motor. However the Honda sun gear will not mesh properly with the Animal crank gear.

Are the requirements for the animal exhaust the same as last year?  My understanding was that you could use the spark arestor.  Is that true?  Especially for the Jr and Sr. Animal.

Ezone,

The Animal exhaust system that was required in 2010 is allowed this year also and as an alternate exhaust system you are allowed to use the same exhaust system as the World Formula. This is stated in the USAC Animal tech manual version 1.6. So there are 2 different exhaust systems allowed for 2011 season and these can be used in the Animal Jr, Sr & the new unrestricted Animal Heavy class.

Thanks

Yes this exhaust can be used on the Jr Animal. If you follow the USAC Animal tech manual version 1.6 all portions of these rules apply to Animal Jr, Sr and unrestricted Animal heavy.

Thanks

Cole 71,

Yes - You can also use this exhaust on the rookie animal class as well.
