Chain Lube
«

I have a new chain that i put on our car right out of the package and it seems to be pretty stiff, Is there a certain lubricant out there for chains that will loosen it a little?
Thanks Steve

Soak chain, preferably overnight, in some sort of solvent, agitate frequently
Blow out chain and let dry
Spray down chain with Tri-flow, work into chain then wipe off extra
Dont ever use chain lube

I would do everything Clouse said, but I use Fluid Film instead of Tri-Flow. We have used it about a year now and not one grain of that nasty Florida sand sticks to it anywhere. Plus they give it to us free, so that helps with the decision.
