My son really loves the black wheels,Does anyone know where you can get the black wheels? I called Douglas but they only have certain back spacing for the quarter midgets.Any info would help. Thanks Steve

Pick up a can of matte finish rust oleum black paint. I clean the wheel really good and even hit them with a wire wheel on the end of the drill to scuff them a little bit. Then I throw some tape around the valve stem and spray them. I tried other paints and the rust oleum seemed to work really well and was very durable. A $4 can will do a few sets of wheels.

We are a distributor for Van-K wheels and are located in Pittsboro Indiana. You can get any wheel from Van-K in black.

DWT has most of the common sizes in black.
If not, then sand the wheels (new would be best), spray with etching primer, then use the black wheel spray paint. Worked well for us. Like Scott said, the Rustoleum kind was good.

One thing I would warn against though if you do just paint your own, is don't try to remove the paint later. I did a set of orange wheels to match a car we no longer have and I tried to remove the orange so I could paint them black and it just made a huge mess. I should have just sprayed over the orange.
