Are you running the single breather from the valve cover and a fuel pump, or plumbing from the crankcase to the valve cover and no fuel pump?  We put 14 ounces in and get about three in the catchcan after a feature with the valve cover only plumbed.

Run two separate vent lines to your catch can (do NOT tee them). One from the crankcase and the other from the valve cover. I do not run a fuel pump in my application.  HEY...maybe if I ran a fuel pump Ross could get more fuel and be faster??  LOL
Have a good weekend.

With the talent Ross has, they'd still be in contention to win the race lol.

Spent the day testing with Briggs and Stratton yesterday. We worked with the Jr and Sr Animal engines. Not to make more HP but to get valuable data on the missing issue and the hard starting. A lot of data was taken and will be analyzed over the next couple of weeks by B&S. Some great things came from this day of testing that will be beneficial to all the USAC .25 races in the very near future. We found changes that can be made to help both the miss and starting issue.

Well that's awesome to hear. It's always good to see companies actually take an interest in making their product better instead of sitting around letting inventory fly off the shelves and occasionally changing a part or two without proper supply to replenish the QM racers' need to stay within the rules. Leaving us to buy a laser etched piece at a trillion percent markup..... haha

I'm excited about Briggs coming into the sport with a cost effective platform that lets us go faster without cashing in the 401k and it's cool to see the interest they take in making the product better. Kudos to them.

Yeah, easy for you to say, Mr. First Place team! =)

Congrats, by the way.

Scott,

The Briggs vent kit that connects the side cover to the side of the valve cover with a tube is a Briggs part # 555688. If you are referring to the small grommet and fitting that plugs into the valve cover then you can get these from APS or most kart shops. We also stock both of these options.
