Does USAC have any updates on Impact's SFI decertification situation?

QMA has announced they will allow gear from before 2009 through this year. Is USAC going to do the same?

"Based on all of the information that we have received from both SFI and Impact QMA has decided to extend the use of the SFI programs 3.2A, 3.3, 16.1 and 16.5 till the end of 2010 year. Effective   January 01, 2011 all products manufactured before January 01, 2009 will not be allowed due to the decertification from SFI. All items manufactured after January 01, 2009 will be permitted for use with QMA. Impact manufacturer products will not be involved with SFI after the term of their contract ends June 22, 2010. It is recommended that you check the manufacture dates on any product before you purchase it.

This was sent to the USAC Members on Friday:

April 30, 2010

While keeping safety standards the highest priority for our competitors, the United States Auto Club announces the following rule modifications in effect for the remainder of 2010.

Uniforms - All drivers must wear fire resistant uniform fitted snugly around the neck, wrists and ankles. It is highly recommended that this item meets SFI Foundation
Specifications 3.2A or higher.

Gloves - All drivers must wear fire resistant gloves. It is highly recommended that this item meets SFI Foundation Specifications 3.3 or higher.

Starting January 1, 2011 all uniforms, gloves and neck collars must meet minimum SFI Foundation certification standards.
