If a spec tire is going to be part of the deal. Then obviously Hoosier is going to be the spec tire due to that is the only tire USAC is affiliated with. So watch out VEGA, Firestone hoosier will be taking over....so who is going to distribute....and if you have to buy from one person..WHO

Thanks for your note Dale. Actually we have bids out right now to ALL of the major tire providers for the sport. We will be evaluating many criteria including cost, compounds, durability and support in our selection. We do believe there are many factors in spec tires that will save money.  This is practiced in ALL major forms of Auto Racing today for costs and quality controls. Obviously, with no controls, then the freshest, softest compounds will clearly be the ideal solution for enhancing competitiveness.

Wont Usac run into trouble with Hoosier if there not the spec tire considering you are sponsored by Hoosier.....let me guess your decision will be Hoosier anyway...LMAO

So bigdale whats your point who cares what the spec tire is as long as there is one sounds like you dont like hoosier but would you be ok with dunlop,vegas firestone or you just dont like any spec tire
