Quarter Midgets make highly anticipated return to Cerro Gordo Speedway this Friday night


(Cerro Gordo, Illinois) The Quarter Midgets make their return to the Cerro Gordo Speedway this Friday night. For the first time in the tracks history it will host a Quarter Midget Series that will consist of three visits to the track. The Hoosier Tire/Afco Shocks Summer Shootout Series will have its first points night this Friday night. The Quarter Midgets will be battling it out for a trophy and a Hoosier Tire Feature winner sticker. The top 3 in each class will be entered into a drawing. Two lucky winners each night will win a Shock/Spring package provided by Afco. There will be other give aways such as Hoosier and Afco hats, Afco Shirts, Stickers, Joe Gibbs Driven Oil, R2C Pro Series Filters, and more. Some of the awards up for grabs in the final points standings are trophies, Hoosier Tires, Hoosier Champions Jackets, Afco Shocks, and Springs, Hats, Gift Cards and much more. Cerro Gordo Speedway as part of there commitment to bring back the Quarter Midgets will not require any entry fees for any of the events that the Speedway will host. The only requirement will be anyone who enters the pits must have a pit pass. The grandstands are free so this can allow teams to bring families and friends to come enjoy a great night of racing. All classes of Quarter Midgets will be on the schedule. The Hoosier Tire/ Afco Shocks Summer Shootout Series will be a unsanctioned series. All three races will be held at the Cerro Gordo Speedway. The series will follow all rules and requirements followed by QMA. A Hoosier tire rule will be in place for this great series. Cerro Gordo Speedway is located on the Piatt County Fairgrounds in Cerro Gordo, Illinois. Gates open at 4pm, hotlaps at 6:30 and racing around 7.
