Title: Gen Next vs. Dirt Series vs. MWT
Post by: 590 racing on January 31, 2013, 05:17:51 PM
I'm glad to see the seperation of the Dirt Triple Crown from the Asphalt series points, but with the way the schedule was put together it is next to impossible to run both. Also the Midwest Thunder has made it impossible to run the dirt series and MWT by booking races at the same time. Whats that all about?

It looks like the only conflict is between the Mac-o-chee midwest thunder race and the Gilbert dirt race on the first weekend in June.  Remember that the MWT series allows one dropped event, so race wherever you and your kids want to race.  There are only so many weekends in a year.

dirt triple crown also allows a drop.  would have been nice not to have three of the four dirt races about as far east as you could go.  makes it hard to run them if you don't live over there.  they are not far from each other either.  would be nice to have a "wild card" race a little further west for the dirt as well!!!!

It would be nice if MWT had a dirt series.  BMI, Eldora, & Great Lakes are under utilized by .25's.  Ohio .25 dirt racing is hard to come by.  We made the 335 mile trip to Hagerstown twice last year and are planning to return atleast four times this year.  We'd love to run locally.
