The Orange Show track lived up to its billing as the “Fastest Track in the Country” at the April 25th race, the third event in the club’s point series. Keith Zimmerman put down an eye popping 4.6680 lap during qualifying in his Light AA to record the fastest time turned in the history of the sport. The crowd roared when Skyler Dale surprised everyone with an unbelievable [4.9850] qualifying lap to join the 4-Second Club in his Stocker. Five more drivers reset track records with new Sr Novice: Tiffany Rose 5.892, Junior Honda: Luke Attridge 5.5970, Sr Honda: Cole Custer 5.2420, Hvy 160: Molly Putnam 5.2300, and Jr Half: Christine Breckenridge 4.8540 Fast Times to kick off a fabulous day of racing in sunny Southern California. The excitement continues to build for the Ernie Bose World Record Race to be held at the track in November and is open to all. |
