Air Filters - Honda / Animal / World Formula

Just wanted to take a few minutes and suggest to everyone that running an air filter will extend the life of your engine. Over the years of rebuilding these engines we have always seen more scuffing wear on the pistons and cylinder walls in engines that were raced without air filters. It is my knowledge from dyno and track testing that there is no power reduction when using air filters. Running an air filter can cause a slightly richer condition and may require a smaller jet or leaner carb setting. I would encourage everyone to at least test your race car with an air filter so you can generate your own data on this topic.
