This is our 9th year in the QM racing world and we've traveled to quite a few different race tracks. We've been to tracks in California, Tennessee, Florida, Connecticut, Indiana, Michigan, and our home state of Ohio. As a member of the NWOQMRA (Toledo) track I like to think we have one of the best facilities around. We have a lot of paved parking, flush toilets, a shower in each restroom, a concession stand that has a covered eating area, a covered scale house, a tower with quite a bit of room, and a nice banked track. We are installing soft walls this year and doing away with the old steel guardrails. Are there improvements to make? Sure. We'd look at a better way for the cars to enter and exit the race track so you have less congestion. Also staging lanes that are conducive to larger events. Last but not least have USAC as your sanctioning body. You will never please everyone with your facility so you need to do what you believe is best for your members first, then look at your district needs and so on. Best of luck to you. It won't be easy or inexpensive.
