4-WAY TITLE FIGHT SPICES BLOOMINGTON'S "LARRY RICE CLASSIC"

4-WAY TITLE FIGHT SPICES BLOOMINGTON'S "LARRY RICE CLASSIC"

Only seven points separate the top four drivers in the 2011 AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car standings entering this Friday night’s "Larry Rice Classic" at the Bloomington (Ind.) Speedway.

Series point leader Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, Ind. is the only one of the four who has won at Bloomington in USAC competition, He won the 2009 “Indiana Sprint Week” race at the quarter-mile dirt track but his point lead is just three over Hunter Schuerenberg, who finished second to Jon Stanbrough in last year’s Bloomington race.

Defending series champion Levi Jones ranks third in the standings, although he matches Schuerenberg’s three-point deficit. Damion Gardner, already a two-time feature winner this season, is fourth, seven points out of the lead.

Stanbrough is currently fifth in the standings, but is 47 behind Clauson.
