USAC WSO SLINGS THE RED DIRT SATURDAY

Meeker, Oklahoma (August 19, 2019)………USAC Wingless Sprints Oklahoma and Red Dirt Raceway meet again for the third time of 2019 this Saturday night, August 24, for round nine of the season at the racy dirt oval in Meeker, Okla.

Steven Shebester (Mustang, Okla.) and Johnny Kent (Kiefer, Okla.) each were victorious in the first two rounds of the season at Red Dirt in April and June, respectively.

Deal captured his second USAC WSO feature victory of the year last Friday night at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Oklahoma in the Grady Chandler Benefit race.  Deal led all 30 laps en route to the triumph over Blake Hahn (Sapulpa, Okla.), Brett Wilson (Coweta, Okla.), Noah Harris (Broken Arrow, Okla.) and Cameron Hagin (Broken Arrow, Okla.).

Danny Smith (Sand Springs, Okla.) holds onto the lead in a tight points battle with reigning champ Wilson by 17 markers with six races remaining.

Gates open Saturday at Red Dirt Raceway at 5pm Central with driver draw set to open at 5pm at the USAC WSO table.  Draw closes at 5:45pm.  The USAC WSO drivers meeting begins at 6pm, hot laps at 6:10pm and racing slated to get underway at 7pm.  Adult general admission tickets are $15.  High School students and younger are $5 (must show student ID).  Pit passes are $30.
