USAC EAST COAST SPRINTS DEBUT AT GEORGETOWN FRIDAY

USAC EAST COAST SPRINTS DEBUT AT GEORGETOWN FRIDAY

Georgetown, Delaware (July 24, 2019)………USAC Rapid Tire East Coast Sprint Cars make their debut at Delaware’s Georgetown Speedway this Friday, July 26.

The series has made one previous trip to the state of Delaware this season, a race won by Chris Allen, Jr. (Wrightstown, N.J.) at Delaware International Speedway in Delmar.  That’s been Allen’s lone victory of the season as he sits fourth in the standings coming into this weekend’s event.

Steven Drevicki (Reading, Pa.) is the defending series champ and arrives as the series point leader after claiming the latest round last weekend at Big Diamond Speedway in Pennsylvania.  Drevicki leads all drivers with three series victories in 2019 ahead of Douglassville, Pennsylvania’s Timmy Buckwalter’s two and one each by Allen, Joey Biasi (Mary D, Pa.) and Eddie Strada (Lake Ariel, Pa.).

Chandler Leiby (Carlisle, Pa.) runs second in the standings, 37 markers behind Drevicki, while Strada (-44), Allen (-92) and Old Bridge, New Jersey’s Bill Unglert (-142) round out the top-five.

Friday at Georgetown, pits open at 4pm Eastern, grandstands at 5pm and hot laps at 6:20pm.  Modifieds, Crate 602 Sportsman, Southern Delaware Vintage Cars, Delaware Super Trucks and Delmarva Chargers will also be on hand.  Adult general admission tickets are $20, seniors age 65+ are $16, students age 13-17 are $16, kids age 9-12 are $10, children age 8 and under are free.  Pit passes are $35, kids age 6-12 pit passes are $10, children age 5 and under pit passes are $2.
