$10,000 ON THE LINE FOR 200TH USAC SPRINT RACE AT ELDORA

Rossburg, Ohio (July 13, 2019)………Ten-thousand dollars are on the line for the winner of this Wednesday’s 200th USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship event at Eldora Speedway on July 17.

#LetsRaceTwo #TakeTwo features both the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship and the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars on the same event card.  Tyler Courtney (Indianapolis, Ind.) has won each of the last two most recent USAC Sprint Car visits to the western Ohio high-banked, half-mile oval, including this past May where he led the final 25 laps to score the win.

The event becomes one of seven on the USAC Sprint Car schedule paying at least $10,000 to win this season.  Brady Bacon (Broken Arrow, Okla.), twice a USAC Sprint Car winner at Eldora in his career in 2014 and 2018, has won each of the largest-paying races this season, winning $10,000 in the June Eastern Storm opener at Pennsylvania’s Grandview Speedway.  Just one week ago, to open up the month of July, the two-time USAC National Sprint Car champion swept both nights of the Brandt “Corn Belt Nationals” at Iowa’s Knoxville Raceway, taking home $20,000 on the final night.

The $10,000 to win race is the 200th USAC Sprint Car event held at Eldora, a tradition that dates back to Stan Bowman’s only career series victory in the Spring of 1962.  Jack Hewitt leads all drivers with 13 victories in that category.

Among the drivers to have competed in a 2019 USAC National Sprint Car event to have taken a USAC Sprint Car checkered flag with the series at Eldora include Dave Darland and Robert Ballou (5), Justin Grant (3), Brady Bacon and Chris Windom (2) and C.J. Leary, Chad Boespflug, Dickie Gaines, Matt Westfall, Thomas Meseraull and Tyler Courtney with one.

Wednesday’s race at Eldora kickstarts a wildly busy nine race stretch in 11 nights.  Following Eldora, the series begins NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week, which runs July 18-27 at eight different racetracks in the Hoosier state.

On raceday at Eldora, ticket sales begin (main gate and turn 4) at 1:30pm (Eastern), the turn 3 pit gate opens at 2pm, spectator gates open at 2pm, drivers meeting begins at 5pm and cars on track at 6pm.

Adult general admission tickets are $29, and $34 for reserved.  Children ages 12 and under general admission tickets are free, and $9 for reserved.  Pit passes are $34 apiece.

The USAC portion of the event will be live and on-demand on FloRacing.
