THOMAS EXTENDS EASTERN STORM POINT LEAD WITH GROVE WIN

Kevin Thomas, Jr. extended his Eastern Storm presented by DMI point lead as the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship gears up for the final two-race stretch Saturday, June 17 at Port Royal Speedway before concluding Sunday, June 18 at Susquehanna Speedway in York Haven, Pennsylvania.

Thomas, of Cullman, Alabama, led 29 of 30 laps to win Friday night’s event at Williams Grove Speedway, his first of the season.  In the first two rounds at Grandview and Lincoln, Thomas recorded a fourth and a third-place finish, respectively.

Thomas holds an eight-point lead over Williams Grove third-place finisher Chris Windom.  Grandview winner Brady Bacon is third in the Eastern Storm standings 28 points back while Lincoln victor Thomas Meseraull and Williams Grove runner-up Chase Stockon are tied for fourth.
