RYAN BERNAL BREAKS THROUGH AT LAS VEGAS!

Las Vegas, Nevada… Starting on the inside of the third row, Ryan Bernal (Hollister, California) chargerd forward and raced past Joe Stornetta Jr. to claim the 25-lap victory at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Racing Mike Phulps’ #56 Metal Works / Keizer Wheels ART, Bernal earned the Sands Chevrolet USAC SouthWest / West Coast Sprint Car triumph and pocketed $3,000 for his efforts. Stornetta, hard charger Brady Bacon, Stevie Sussex, and Charles Davis Jr. rounded out the top-five drivers.

Landon Cling set a new track record in qualifying over the 37 entries. Jake Swanson, Stornetta, Brady Short, and Davis won the 8-lap heat races. Troy Rutherford and Geoff Ensign raced to victory in the 10-lap semi-mains.
