WEST COAST, SOUTHWEST SPRINTS “BRAWL FOR IT ALL” AT PEORIA;

DAVIS WINS ARIZONA SPEEDWAY 30-LAPPER

The “Brawl For It All” Saturday at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Ariz. is next up for the USAC Southwest Sprint Car Series as R.J. Johnson and Charles Davis Jr. battle for supremacy.

Davis, of Buckeye, Ariz., cut into Johnson’s point lead somewhat with his victory in Saturday night’s race at Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek. Trailing Davis’ Massey entry at the checkered flag were Johnson, Josh Pelkey, Andy Reinbold and Tom Ogle.

Davis led all 30 laps for his second points-race victory of the year and second win at Queen Creek in 2015.

Leading the USAC West Coast Sprint Cars, who share top billing at Peoria this Saturday, is Danny Faria Jr. Faria, the 2013 West Coast Champion, has a 135-point lead over Richard Vander Weerd in the standings. Faria has won three times this year, including the two most recent West Coast outings.
