Ocala, Florida…….Friday’s scheduled AMSOIL Sprint Car National championship event at Bubba Raceway Park, part of “Winter Dirt Games V,” was cancelled due to rain. Track officials waited out the storm for its duration and tarped the track in an attempt to lessen the impact, but decided it would not be ready for racing at any point tonight.

Brady Bacon kicked off the weekend with a win on Thursday night over Tracy Hines, Dave Darland, Shane Cottle, and Chase Stockon. Bacon also took the ProSource “Fast Qualifier Award” earlier in the evening before claiming Hoffman Auto Racing’s 83rd all-time USAC Sprint Car win, which leads all owners.

Night 3 of “Winter Dirt Games V” will be scheduled to start again at 7pm Eastern on Saturday night.

AMSOIL NATIONAL SPRINT POINTS: 1-Bacon-71; 2-Hines-67; 3-Darland-62; 4-Cottle/Stockon-59; 6-Clauson-54; 7-Stanbrough-46; 8-Schuerenberg-43; 9-Leary-39; 10-Windom-37.
