SCHUERENBERG WINS AT GAS CITY, DARLAND TOPS BORDER WARS





Jon Stanbrough of Avon, Ind. is back atop the 2012 AMSOIL USAC National Sprint standings as the series readies for a May 12 race at Tri-State Speedway
in Haubstadt, Ind.




Stanbrough finished third in Friday's "Border Wars" finale at Gas City (Ind.) I-69 Speedway and rain forced postponement on Saturday's race at Lincoln
Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind. Track and USAC officials are working on a possible reschedule date for the Putnamville race.




Hunter Schuerenberg of Sikeston, Missouri picked up his first AMSOIL National Sprint Car win of the year after leading every official circuit in
Friday's 30-lap Main Event at Gas City (Ind.) I-69 Speedway. Schuerenberg led the opening lap from the pole before falling to third at the completion
of lap two, but a caution behind him gave Schuerenberg another chance at the front of the field, and he took advantage in his Rock Steady Racing ΜΆ
