AMSOIL SPRINT CAR "TRIPLEHEADER" RESCHEDULED

GAS CITY APRIL 29, LAWRENCEBURG APRIL 30, KOKOMO MAY 1

All three AMSOIL USAC National Sprint races rained out this past weekend have been rescheduled. The weekend of April 29-30 and May 1 will restore the “tripleheader” concept, with the order of events remaining the same as originally planned.

Gas City I-69 Speedway will host the Friday night, April 29 race, while Lawrenceburg Speedway hosts the Saturday night, April 30 race. Concluding the weekend on Sunday night, May 1 will be the race at Kokomo Speedway.

“We were fortunate to have this weekend open to be able to reschedule these events,” says AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Series organizer Dave Brzozowski. “We are appreciative of our race organizers at each of the three venues who helped make this a reality.”

Race fans were excited about the three races in three nights and being able to restore this concept is a great way to kick off the 2011 Midwestern season.

A stellar field of entries was assured for these three races and they should prove to be pivotal in the chase for the 2011 AMSOIL championship.

Damion Gardner, winner of two of the three season openers in Florida, enters the “tripleheader” with a 21-point lead over defending series champion Levi Jones.
