WILSON'S 1ST USAC WIN COMES IN "JAMES/O'CONNOR" SPRINT

WILSON’S 1ST USAC WIN COMES IN “JAMES/O’CONNOR” SPRINTSalem, IN…….Jacob Wilson of Crawfordsville, Ind. won Sunday’s 49th Indiana Stone Works “Joe James/Pat O’Connor Memorial” race at the Salem Speedway. He led the final 21 laps of the USAC National Sprint Car feature on the 1/2-mile paved oval in his Fatheadz.com/Jet Star Beast/Claxton Chevy. Tracy Hines finished second ahead of Mike Murgoitio, Eric Gordon and Marc Jessup. Jessup led the first 29 laps of the race. Wilson was the day’s fastest qualifier. The seirs now travels to Oskaloosa, Iowa for Tuesday night’s Searsboro Teephone USAC “Ultimate Challenge” offering $30,000-to-win.
